A while ago, Google announced that they would give an important advantage to mobile-friendly websites along with other factors. Google took another step towards promoting mobile-friendly websites: they announced that sites should avoid showing app install interstitials that hide a significant amount of content on the transition from the search result page.
What does it mean?
It means that if a page that looks like this (right pic) when coming from search results, it will be penalized and be labeled as not mobile-friendly. Which is quite bad when it comes to ranking your your website into Google Search.
Google provided a tool to test if a page is mobile-friendly or not. We strongly advise you use it on your site and see if your website is SEO ready!
In other news, the new version of Google Chrome, will also change it’s behavior in the upcoming version: flash ads will be blocked by default. Another great step towards a better user experience.
